Wind Surf breakfast was served for about two hours each morning (about 7:30 - 9:30) in the Veranda on the top deck, and passengers could dine inside or outside on the Terrace. Breakfast was buffet style, or you could order pancakes, waffles, or egg specialties from the menu. The Wind Surf also had an omelet station, which everyone enjoyed, and there was lots of fruit, yogurt, and almost every breakfast option you would want. Late or early risers could find a continental breakfast, with delicious pastries and fruit, in the Compass Rose lounge.
Lunch on the Wind Surf
Lunch was also in the Veranda and Terrace, and I thought the Wind Surf lunch was consistently one of the best I've ever had at sea. Each day was a delight, with most lunches focusing on a different theme, country, or region such as our 4th of July barbecue, which included grilled lobster, ribs, and chicken. I happily stuffed myself at the "make your own" gyro and taco bars on Greek and Mexican days. Grilled items such as hamburgers and hot dogs and other menu items were also available at lunch.
More Daytime Dining on the Wind Surf
For those who might starve between lunch and dinner, the Wind Surf had tea every afternoon in the Compass Rose, with delicious pastries and sandwiches. These treats were perfect for those of us who were hungry after exploring ashore. Homemade cookies and juice were also available in the library throughout the day.
