Small cruise ships such as the Wind Surf can dock at Ibiza, which is a sun-drenched island in the Spanish Balearic Islands. Since Ibiza is known for its nightlife, the Wind Surf stayed at the dock until late to allow passengers the opportunity to party on Ibiza.
Many small cruise ships such as the Wind Surf include the marvelous Spanish island of Mallorca as a port of call on western Mediterranean cruises. Palma, the capital city, is perfect for exploring on your own, or you can take tours to other interesting parts of the island.
The Wind Surf, like many cruise ships on Western Mediterranean cruises, docked in Malaga, Spain. Granada, home of the Alhambra Palace and Fortress, is less than two hours from Malaga and is well worth the ride. We had an excellent full-day excursion to the Alhambra from the Wind Surf.
The Wind Surf had an excellent half-day tour of Tangier, Morocco--"A Taste of Tangier". This tour enabled passengers to see many of the interesting sites in this exotic city and the surrounding countryside. Join me on a pictorial "Taste of Tangier".
The Algarve coast of Portugal is beautifual, and a very popular tourist destination. We got a perfect look at the Algarve from the Wind Surf as she sailed along the coast. It was a beautiful day to be at sea.
Lisbon, Portugal was the disembarkation port for our Wind Surf cruise from Barcelona. Many passengers on the Wind Surf opted to stay an extra day or two in Lisbon. Here are some of Lisbon's "must see" tourist sites.
Fleet includes three luxurious sailing ships or masted sailing yachts. Casual elegance is the style afloat. Good useful information on Windstar's site.
