As we prepared to sail away from Cologne on the next to last evening on the Viking Spirit, Captain Liedke and Hotel Manager Marijan Kutnjak entertained us with a farewell cocktail party followed by a gala dinner. Everyone was in a festive mood, and the dinner was topped off with a Baked Alaska parade.

The next morning, as we sailed towards Amsterdam, we packed our suitcases and watched the Dutch farmlands roll by our window. The Viking Spirit officers and crew had successfully given us some wonderful memories. Many of our fellow passengers were already planning their next Viking River Cruise, one of the best signs of passenger satisfaction. Thanks to everyone on the Viking Spirit for a terrific cruise.
