Argentine Gauchos Wear their Silver on their Belts
Gauchos in Argentina wear their silver on the outside of their belts to show their wealth.

After the Estancia Santa Susana show was over, the gauchos came and asked women to dance and many couples joined them on the dance floor. Most of the Argentine gauchos had numerous silver coins attached to their large leather belts. Julia explained that gauchos traditionally wore all their money on their belts to show how wealthy they were!
