The About Cruises Guide and the About Fishing Guide cruised on the Silversea Silver Whisper from August 20 - September 2, 2002. The diversity of this itinerary is particularly exciting. We flew to Barcelona on August 21 and met the Silver Whisper there on August 22, after spending the night at the Hotel Arts Ritz-Carlton. From Barcelona the ship spent 11 days cruising, stopping at the following ports of call:

Tarragona, Spain

Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain

Casablanca, Morocco

Safi, Morocco

Porto Santo (Madeira), Portugal

Funchal (Madeira), Portugal

Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain

Arrecife, Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain

We also had two days at sea to relax and enjoy the amenities

We flew home on Labor Day, September 2 from Lisbon, Portugal. As you can see, this is no ordinary Mediterranean Cruise! Not only did we get to experience the small ship luxury of the Silver Whisper, we also visited islands and ports of call that are truly "Hideaways and Idyllic Isles."

Click on the links above to see pictures of the Silversea Silver Whisper cruise ships and a description of the shore excursion options we had at each port of call. Note that prices have changed since 2002.
