The Seabourn Odyssey has some marvelous outdoor areas for its cruise guests to enjoy. There's a swimming pool and two hot tubs on deck 8 and another small pool and hot tubs aft on deck 5 behind The Club. Near the pools are lounge chairs for those who love to sit in the sun or the shade, and waiters will be happy to bring a cold drink from the Patio Bar.
Passengers who seek a comfortable, quiet place in the sun can escape to The Retreat on deck 11, which has the same chaise lounges I loved from our Owner's Suite veranda.
One unique feature (for a ship its size) of the Seabourn Odyssey is the Marina, a watersports area aft on deck 2. On one day each cruise, the aft hatch of the ship is opened, and the Marina is launched. From the Marina, passengers can enjoy all sorts of watersports--water skiing, kayaking, tubing, sailing, or riding on a banana boat. It's great fun for everyone who participates (and even for those who choose to watch).
