The outdoor common areas of the Ruby Princess are as welcoming as those indoors. There are two large swimming pools on the Lido Deck--Neptune's Pool and the Calypso Pool. The 300 square foot, 69,000-watt "Movies Under the Stars" screen overlooks the Calypso Pool. Programs and movies are shown throughout the day on the large screen, so those seeking a much more peaceful outdoor area might want to sit by Neptune's Pool or pay the extra fee ($10 for a half-day) and sit in The Sanctuary, which adjoins the Lotus Spa.
One of the best spots outdoors is aft on the Lido Deck. The Outrigger Bar and Horizon Deck offer great views of the Terrace Pool and the wake of the ship.
Kids on the Ruby Princess can enjoy their own outdoor area aft of the Youth Center on the Sports Deck.
