Sailing into Stockholm on a cruise ship is one of the most beautiful passages in Europe. The Stockholm archipelago consists of over 24,000 islands, and cruise ships must carefully navigate their way around and through the maze of rocky islands.

If your ship is sailing into Stockholm in the early morning, the summer sun will be rising very early, so get out of bed and enjoy the scenery!

When your cruise ship arrives in Stockholm, it will dock at one of seven ports, depending on the vessel length and draft. Stockholm is a very busy cruise ship port, summer days will sometimes find seven or eight cruise ships docked at one of the seven berths scattered throughout the city. Although there are some berths near the city center, the furthest docks are only about 10 minutes (by taxi) away.
