The Stockholm City Hall (Stadshuset) is one of the best examples of modern architecture in Europe. The Stadshuset was completed in 1923, but looks much older. The redbrick Stockholm City Hall has a 314-foot tower topped with three golden crowns, which are the symbol of Sweden. The City Hall sits on the waterfront and has a beautful view of Gamla Stan. You will need to take a guided tour to see the inside of the Stockholm City Hall, but the price is minimal.

This exterior view of the City Hall shows how beautiful the building is on the outside and how it fits into the rest of the architecture in Stockholm.
