Travelers have two cruise options for visiting Saint Petersburg. They can either take a northern European cruise of the Baltic Sea, or they can take a Russian Waterways cruise between Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Peter the Great founded Saint Petersburg in 1703 as the capital of his Russian empire, and over 300 years later the city still attracts visitors from around the world.

There are so many sites to see in Saint Petersburg that cruises usually overnight for two or three nights. The city is wonderful for walking, and the long summer days are delightful.
