NCL Pride of America Cruise Review
Hawaii Cruise on the NCL Pride of America

From Myrna Seto, for About.com

Cruise Line: Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL)
Cruise Ship: Pride of America
Cruise Destination: Hawaiian Islands
Cruise Dates: April 26 - May 2, 2008
Guest Contributor: Myrna Seto

People cruise because they want service and good food. Pride of America is sadly lacking in both areas. Our stewards liked to play hide and seek and I don't understand what you are saying. I knew I was in trouble when I had to use a beach towel because it was more comfortable than my bed pillows. The food was decent until it was killed in the kitchen. The desserts are in sweet purgatory as the bakers should be.

When I called customer service she said I should have registered a complaint onboard and that all complaints must be in writing. I asked what her customer relations position consisted of particularly. Why answer the phone "customer relations?" If this keeps up there will be no customers to have relations with.

Suggestion: Hire European stewards and get an Italian chef. Don't even try to train Americans - we don't know service or food and apparently cannot be taught. Price of America indeed.
