This was our fourth NCL Cruise and it will be our last. The ship was beautiful as were the Hawaiian Islands, but that was the only positive about the whole experience. The food was awful! We had to eat at the buffet to have anything decent. We ate one night at the Japanese Steakhouse, which was very good, but pricey (Over $40). I guess they want to make the food so bad at the regular places that everyone will pay extra to eat at the specialty places.
The stateroom service as terrible. We had days that our steward was too hung over to clean our stateroom. Dirty glass left for us to drink out of, etc. Our room with a balcony was next to a smoker--need I say more. The unsafe practice of them throwing their butts overboard--please.
The total lack of entertainment was a disappointment. A juggler, what is up with that? One night the crew put on a show, it's what I paid over $4,000 for. This was a trip we waited 33 years to go on, and it was awful. Will never cruise on NCL again. Came home and cut up our NCL credit cards. The Islands were nice, but we had to go ashore to get something decent to eat.
Everyone we talked to on the ship had a terrible story to tell of poor service, poor food, etc. There seemed to be a lot of people in uniforms walking around, but not doing anything constructive. My husband talked to a ship's officer, and her response to our complaints was "that's too bad".
I have booked our next cruise in May on Disney. I know I will have a great one with them.
Wish I could take our a full page newspaper ad and television commercial to tell everyone how very poor this cruise line is.
