This was my first cruise ever so have nothing to compare it to, but I just loved just about everything about it! I didn't plan it, my sister-in-law did. There were 6 in my party in two cabins. Our flights were booked also-had no problem except my sister-in-law and brother had some kind of problem with their tickets.

From the second you stepped on board the ship it was apparent that the staff was there to make your trip as pleasant as possible-everyone was very nice, helpful and friendly. We had balcony rooms and were very pleased with the size and condition of our rooms. We had two teenage kids and my mother and myself in one room which had plenty of room for storage and sleeping and moving around in general. I would definitely recommend a balcony room-so relaxing and a great place to get away from the crowds. We saw many many dolphins and whales while relaxing on our balcony.

Service was great everywhere we went on board. Entertainment was top-notch, cruise director was great-got everyone envolved. Everything was clean and kept up. Our rooms were turned down every night while we were away and made up while out eating or whatever. We went on an excursion at each port and never once had a problem. They met you at the dock and took you to your destination and I was happy with each one of them. We took a float plane to the Taku Lodge for a Salmon dinner in Juneau-fantastic scenery and food was great. Went on the train in Skagway-great scenery. Went on a nature walk in Ketchikan-great-saw a bear get a salmon out of the river and bald eagles fly overhead. The bus was always there to pick us up and take us back to the ship-never had a problem.

Only disappointment was because of some kind of environmental problem with the ship we were not allowed to travel through Glacier Bay-instead they took us to Sitka and gave us a $200 credit per cabin on our bill. Didn't make up for the disappointment, but they tried at least. Things happen. I would have liked to have more places open to eat at odd hours-many times we wanted some kind of desert at 11:00 p.m. but couldn't find anywhere to get something. I would definitely cruise again with NCL since I had such a great trip!
