The MSC Splendida has three swimming pools--two on deck 14 and the third on deck 15. Like most new large cruise ships, the MSC Splendida has a large video screen overlooking its outdoor pool. This pool is surrounded by deck chairs and hot tubs, and is a popular gathering spot on sunny days. The ship also has L'Equatore, a swimming pool with a retractable cover. Since the MSC Splendida sails in the Mediterranean year-round, this cover will come in handy on those winter days. The Playa del Sol, or Zen Area, is an adults-only retreat on deck 15. It features a pool, hot tubs, deck chairs, and bar.
