The bay at Isla San Francisco is beautiful--shaped like a fishing hook, with excellent protection for boats. The American Safari Cruises' Safari Quest spent an afternoon in the Isla San Francisco bay, and we enjoyed kayaking around the calm waters and watching the numerous crabs around the rocks. Some passengers kayaked or took the skiff up to the beach for some time in the sun. Late in the afternoon, we hiked up to the tallest mountain on Isla San Francisco, and the views of the Sea of Cortez and the island below were breathtaking. After our hike, we enjoyed happy hour drinks and snacks on the beach.
These photos show some of the beauty of this island in the Sea of Cortez.
