Huana Coa had nine "zips", and it only took me a couple to really get the hang of it. The only challenge is not to grab the wire to slow yourself down too much. I was terrified at first I would stop myself in mid-zip accidentally, and someone would have to come out to rescue me, but it never happened to me (or anyone else). The harness gear definitely gave you an uncomfortable "wedgie", and we all looked very cute in the helmets, gloves, and rest of the gear.
I was happy they allowed us to carry our cameras, so I got some shots of my fellow zippers. I also purchased (as did almost everyone else) a $25 CD of all the photos the official Huana Coa photographer made. The zip line adventure probably ranks up there as one of my favorite active shore excursions, although the helicopter/dog sledding event in Alaska is still tops, and nighttime kayaking with Ronnie in Puerto Rico at the bio-luminescent bay was another fun one.
We returned to Mazatlan via the beach drive, and the city was lovely. There are numerous shops right at the pier, so those who wanted to shop near the ship had plenty of choices.
