The Courtyard of the Lions (Patio de los Leones) in the Alhambra Palace is surrounded by arcades held up by 124 marble columns. A large fountain with 12 marble lions, reminiscent of those seen in China, is the centerpiece of the patio. Each room off the courtyard has gorgeous carved ceilings and walls.
