Ibiza is the southernmost island of the Balearic Islands of Spain. Ibiza's year-round population of 73,000 grows to much more than that during the busy summer season when vacationers from northern Europe come to Ibiza for fun and sun. Ibiza is seen by many as a playground for jet setting party seekers, and a visit to the island confirms this reputation. The island is also home to many artists, so strolling the narrow streets and visiting the artisan's shops can be interesting and rewarding.
We visited Ibiza from the Wind Surf sailing ship and spent the day enjoying the city of Ibiza. Our ship was docked until well after midnight, and those who stayed out late said that the party-goers were arriving in the bars and the city was just starting to wake up when we sailed!
