Jewel of the Seas Lounges and Bars - Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas

Drinking and Partying on the Jewel of the Seas

By , About.com Guide

The Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas cruise ship has a dozen or more lounges and bars, all of which offer a "drink of the day", your favorite cocktail, wine, beer, or soft drinks. There's a lounge on every public deck, except those that are cabins-only.

Our family loved the Champagne Bar on deck 6. You could hear the music and activity from the Centrum, but enjoy the marvelous view of the ocean from the large glass windows in the bar. It was a perfect place for a before-dinner drink.

The Schooner Bar and Safari Club nearby were also popular places for a drink, and the Safari Club had a nice dance floor, as does the Vortex disco on deck 13.

On our cruise, the European Soccer World Cup was ongoing, so the Pit Stop Sports Bar, with its wide-screen monitors, was packed when there was a game.

For those looking for a "caffeine fix" and crave specialty coffees, the Cafe Latte-tudes on deck 5 was the place to be.

All in all, the Jewel of the Seas has a good variety of bars and lounges.
