Princess Cruises was the first to introduce a large, outdoor movie screen by the pool, and the Emerald Princess has continued this popular trend. The 300 square foot, LED screen is on deck 16, overlooking the Calypso Pool. During the day, all sorts of videos and movies are shown. However, all of the surrounding Lido deck activities might be distracting for those who want to be absorbed in a movie. I think the "Movies Under the Stars" concept really shines at night, when blankets and chair pads are provided. It's almost like being at a drive-in!
