The Emerald Princess was supposed to dock in Marseille on this last full day on the ship; however, we awoke to gale force winds, some up to 55 knots, which prevented the ship from going into the harbor at Marseille.

Although most of us were looking forward to seeing Marseille or going into some of the towns and villages of Provence, I didn't speak to a single person on the ship who was disappointed. After all, they got an "extra" day on the Emerald Princess!

The ship handled the high winds and waves very well. We never had rain (or even cloudy skies), so many sun worshipers spent their last day on the ship by the pool. I caught up on my reading and worked on sorting out the hundreds of photos of the Emerald Princess and ports of call I had taken over the past 10 days.
