The
Cruise West Spirit of Yorktown is a small ship of only 257 feet in length, and she carries 138 passengers. This casual small ship is perfect for getting an up close and personal look at the magnificent scenery and wildlife of Alaska. The cabins are small and comfortable, but many have built-in beds that cannot be pushed together. However, passengers spend most onboard hours either in the large observation lounge or outside on deck. After all, no one wants to miss out on a whale, moose, or bear sighting because of being in the cabin!
The food on the Spirit of Yorktown is excellent, and all meals are casual. The all-American crew adds to the relaxed, comfortable environment at meals and throughout the day. The emphasis on this cruise is on the wonders of Alaska, and passengers have plenty of time to just sit back and soak up the scenery.
The Spirit of Yorktown was significantly refurbished in the fall of 2007, so the cabins and common areas will look somewhat different.
