The Columbus Lounge served buffet breakfast and lunch and orders from the grill. We usually ate breakfast in the Columbus Lounge, enjoying the traditional European fare and American favorites. The buffet lunch in the Columbus Lounge had the same offerings as the lunch menu in the Marco Polo Restaurant, as well as grill favorites like hamburgers and French fries. Ice cream wasn't on the lunch menu in the Columbus Lounge, but I ordered it a few times and the wait staff was happy to accommodate me.

At night, the Columbus Lounge was transformed into an intimate, elegant "Ethno Restaurant" on selected evenings. The Ethno Restaurant served a fixed menu with a regional ethnic theme. It was a reservations-only restaurant, but there was no extra cost. Our table of four had dinner there two nights--the first featured specials from the Falkland Islands and the second featured South American native specialties. Each meal began with a sampler platter of several tapas-like appetizers, followed by soup, a fish dish, a main course, and dessert. The food was interesting and the portions just right.
