The Titanic certainly looks different than the modern cruise ships of today. She didn't have hundreds of balcony cabins, a rock climbing wall, or fitness center. The Titanic's objective was transportation -- to carry passengers across the Atlantic between New York City and the United Kingdom in style, comfort, and luxurious surroundings.

On her maiden voyage, the Titanic was filled with rich and famous people who were excited to be on the new ship. However, the marvelous new ship hit an iceberg and sank. Her story has been recreated in numerous books and movies over the years.
