Cruise the Caribbean with Gen on the Celebrity Millennium

Having just returned from a wonderful week on the Millenium, I wanted to share my experience with others. The ship is beyond beautiful! It is set up for those who have problems negotiating smaller areas. The crew are so helpful in this regard. They happily step aside to let us do our traveling about the ship. It is the perfect ship for those of us in the over 65 group! The food is fantastic, even on the buffet. My only complaint was the brown bananas that came on the ship at St. Thomas! Someone had refrigerated them -- can you believe it!?

The crew, to name those with direct contact to the guests, were: Hakur and Anna from the activities staff; Januscz, Dennis, Miguel, and Sophie from the Metropolitan Restaurant; Chris and Francisco as well as the above from the Ocean Cafe and Grille; Joel and Jeffrey doing stateroom duty. ALL were absolutely the most attentive people we could have asked for!!! We would return in a New York Minute!! No question!

It would take months to tell you everything we loved and less than a minute to give you any negatives, if we could think of them. I didn't get off the ship, I enjoyed it so much. We took a veranda cabin, and would definitely do so again. I had a wheelchair and no one complained that I had left it outside the cabin at night. Many others did so also. The ship had wheelchairs in abundance on this cruise, although I was not aware that they could be used, and spent good money to rent one from an outside company. I don't believe I'd bother to rent the next time. I just needed something to "lean" on. At the buffet I was given a helping hand from the staff, even when I didn't ask for it!

We drank the tap water in the restaurants and had no problem with it. We did not bother with bottled water at all.
