I love travel magazines and subscribe to a number of them. I can sit in my easy chair at home or lie in the bed and dream over the articles and pictures. Here are some of my favorites. Any of these magazines will make a great gift for someone who loves to cruise or travel--or for someone who wishes he or she could cruise or travel!
1. National Geographic Traveler
This wonderful travel magazine has eight issues per year. It is filled with photos and professional articles. Vacation ideas for those traveling in the U.S., Canada, or around the world. Enjoyable for the "real" traveler and the "armchair" traveler.
2. Conde Nast Traveler
Monthly magazine focusing on all sorts of travel opportunities. Primarily geared towards upscale resorts and cruises. Wonderful for dreaming about places you'd like to visit if you had the money! Its monthly "Where in the World Are You" feature is a fun puzzle to solve.3. Cruise Travel
Perfect gift for a cruise traveler. Bimonthly magazine has articles on ships, ports of call, activities, and other topics of interest for those of us who love to cruise.4. Porthole
Another great magazine for someone who loves to cruise. Articles on ships, cruise reviews, ports of call, and other important facts for cruisers. Excellent photos and detailed profiles of ships.5. Travel + Leisure
General travel magazine similar to Conde Nast Traveler. Monthly articles on desirable vacation destinations around the world. Wonderful pictures and descriptions of places I would like to visit someday.6. Islands
I never realized how many wonderful islands there were in the world until I started subscribing to this magazine! And, if you love islands, you will find that many of them are accessible via cruise ship. Bimonthly.
