The Bottom Line
Author Terry Breen has worked on cruise ships for over 15 years as a resident lecturer and naturalist. This experience makes her book invaluable as a resource for cruises to Alaska's Inside Passage. I eagerly devoured the book before an Inside Passage cruise to Alaska. I also carried the guide along and used it extensively on our cruise. Ms. Breen did an exceptional job of answering the questions I had about cruising this beautiful part of North America. I am sure that other cruisers will enjoy this guidebook also.

Guide Review - Book Review - Cruiser Friendly Onboard Guide to Alaska's Inside Passage
Alaska's Inside Passage in Southeast Alaska is perfect for cruising - in fact, since roads are very scarce, touring by water or air is the only way to see the area! Terry Breen has spent much of her adult life working as a cruise ship expert lecturer and naturalist. Her expansive knowledge of both Alaska's Inside Passage and the interests of cruise travelers make this book an invaluable resource for those planning an Alaskan cruise. In addition, I loved having the book on our Alaska cruise to aid in identifying wildlife, wild flowers, and points of interest along the way. It also has small maps of many of the popular Alaska Inside Passage cruise areas.

Personally, I'm glad to see that Ms. Breen plans to write other destination guides for areas where she has traveled frequently!
