Historic Rhodes is the largest Greek Island in the Dodecanese. European package tours bring thousands of northern Europeans to Rhodes each year. It has all of the requirements for sun-starved visitors--300 days of sunshine and beautiful sandy beaches. In addition to the beaches, the island's history and link to the knights and the crusades are fascinating. The Old Town is one of the largest inhabited medieval towns in all of Europe. And of course, there's that "seventh wonder of the ancient world"--the Colossus of Rhodes.

Paros, Greece
Paros is one of the Cyclades and has gently rolling hills and a busy port. Paros is a ferry hub for Greece, and hundreds of travelers are passing through the island each day. Paros is most famous for its white marble, which was used in statues such as the Venus de Milo. It also has a fascinating church with a fascinating legend--Our Lady of the Hundred Gates Church. No one has been able to find but 99 doors in the church. Greek legend says that the day the 100th door is found, Constantinople (Istanbul) will be returned to Greek jurisdiction.
