The Viking Prestige is a sister ship to the Viking Legend that launched in 2009. Viking Prestige will carry 188 guests on European river cruise itineraries. The vessel has two 310-square-foot suites and 97 staterooms, all deluxe (except for the 6 single staterooms) with either French balconies or picture windows.
The Viking Prestige includes all the amenities found on other Viking ships. In addition, it is a "green" ship, running on hybrid diesel-electric engines that produce 20 percent fewer emissions and reduced noise/vibration.
