The emcee of the ceremony was Celebrity Solstice cruise director Nick Weir. He began the program with a video montage of the new ship, including photos of the Celebrity Solstice during and after construction at Germany's Meyer Werft Shipyard. It's always amazing to see how these ships "come together".
This photo captures the magical combination of the strings of Lucia Micarelli, the vocals of Antonio Sol, and a marvelous aerialist as they perform U2's "A Beautiful Day", which was the theme for the Celebrity Solstice christening ceremony.
