The Carnival Fantasy was launched in 1990 and significantly refurbished in late 2008. She was the first of eight identical ships, all of which have been popular with cruisers who are looking for a value-priced fun cruise vacation. During this latest refurbishment, many changes were made to the outdoor areas, including a new Waterworks aqua park, a miniature golf course, an adults-only area called Serenity, and a new resort-style main swimming pool area.
The 2056-passenger Carnival Fantasy currently sails 5 to 7-day cruises year-round from Charleston, SC to the Bahamas and Key West. In 2011, the Carnival Fantasy will add cruises from Charleston to Bermuda to her repertoire.
Some of the outdoor areas of the Carnival Fantasy are shown in these photos from a 5-day cruise to the Bahamas. We had two gorgeous sea days, and the outdoor decks were filled with families, couples, and travelers of all ages enjoying the sun and sea breezes.
