The first two days and nights were so cold on the ship due to no heat. We had to move dirty dishes out of the way on the table to be able to sit and eat. We also had to find our own silverware. There was urine standing on the floors and on the toilets in the restrooms on the main levels of the ship. There was a sewage smell on most of the floors and a strong sewage smell in our cabin and bath.
The carpet in Doc Holidays was wet, due to a leak in the ceiling, and it also smelled of sewage. The main dining room at dinner was dirty and dusty, and the carpet was dirty, but our table was clean.
Progreso was not a quaint little resort town, but was a slum area, and me being a female, and let off the bus in the middle of the slums was dangerous. I immediately got back on the dilapidated bus and swore I would never visit there again. Also in our cabin we had brown tinged water coming out of our faucet in ths sink. The carpet in our cabin was very stained and dirty.
This was my first cruise, and I was so dissatisfied and disgusted that I don't ever want to cruise again. Linda Colegrove in Alabama
