Many cruise lines have private islands, and Castaway Cay is one of the best. The fun starts when the ship is able to dock, rather than having to tender passengers ashore. The island is large, but there are free trams to all the beaches. Castaway Cay has multiple beaches--one for adults-only, teens, sports, and families. The adults-only beach is separate from the other beaches. Beach-related activities abound, including swimming, snorkeling, sailing, boating, kayaking, biking, and volleyball. The island even has a stingray adventure, where participants learn about stingrays ashore and then go into the water to feed and snorkel with them.
Castaway Cay has numerous shops and bars, and a delicious barbecue lunch is served at the Castaway Air Bar for adults and at Cookies BBQ for families.
