However, the new river ship the Avalon Panorama features 64 Panorama Suites measuring 200-square-feet, which is about 30 percent larger than on most river ships. These suites include a large seating area adjacent to a floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall panoramic window. When open, the nearly 11-foot wide by 7-foot tall window transforms the entire Suite into an open-air balcony.
Each cabin on the Avalon Panorama has flowers, marble baths, and premium L’Occitane products. In addition, the Panorama-Suite ship features a club, main lounge, dining room, hair salon, Sky Deck fun pool, and Open-Air Bistro for outdoor, grilled lunches. The Panorama’s fitness room is larger and features additional equipment. Other amenities and features on the Panorama include: Flat screen televisions, large closets, ample storage space, fully stocked mini-bars and safes in all staterooms and suites as well as laundry/ironing services.
The Avalon Panorama sails the 14-night Amsterdam/Budapest itinerary for most of her maiden year of 2011. Holiday travelers may also experience the new ship while enjoying Avalon's Christmas market getaways.
