View from the South Klondike Highway Connecting Fraser, BC with Skagway, Alaska
White Pass Railway

By , About.com Guide

Many passengers on the White Pass Railway ride the train one way and a bus the other. The highway provides a slightly different view.

The only disadvantage of riding a bus between Skagway and Fraser rather than taking the train both ways is passing through the Customs Booth on the South Klondike Highway. If traffic is heavy, you might be delayed. Be sure to carry your passport on the train since they check both on the train and on the highway.
