The 378-passenger cruise ship the Aegean Odyssey of Voyages to Antiquity specializes in cruises that primarily focus on the history and archaeology of the central and eastern Mediterranean. Although the ship was built in 1974 and originally carried almost 600 passengers, Voyages to Antiquity did a significant refurbishment of the ship after acquiring her. As a result, the Aegean Odyssey looked almost completely rebuilt when she was launched in May 2010. The ship has much more open deck space per passenger, brighter public rooms, and greatly improved cabins.
I sailed on an eastern Mediterranean itinerary from Athens to Istanbul on the ship and loved the size, atmosphere, and interesting ports of call.
These pictures of the Aegean Odyssey provide a good look at the cruise ship.
