The 24-passenger M/V Mist Cove is a small jewel of a ship that sails a part of Southeast Alaska's Inside Passage between Juneau and Sitka. The luxury, all-inclusive ship takes a week to cover the 92 miles (as the eagle flies), cruising about 375 miles as it meanders along the glacial inlets and hidden coves along the route. The ship's atmosphere is casual, and the days are filled with activities like kayaking, hiking, and fishing.
The Mist Cove has a dozen crew, so the service is excellent. The crew multi-tasks effectively, serving meals, cleaning rooms, driving the skiffs, and providing guide service for the fishing expeditions. By the end of the first day, the passengers and crew are like one big family, which makes the cruise both fun and memorable.
