The Louis Cristal is a mid-sized ship owned and operated by Louis Cruises, a Cypriot company that is one of the largest tourism organizations of the eastern Mediterranean. Louis Cruises has been in business since the early 1970's and has a fleet of seven ships, all of which offer value-priced cruises of 3, 4, or 7 days. The company also partners with several tour operators to offer land/sea vacation combinations.

I sailed on the Louis Cristal for four nights as part of an eight-day cruise and land tour of Greece and Turkey. The food on the ship was very good, especially for those who enjoy the eastern Mediterranean cuisine of Greece and Turkey. Of course, the ship's restaurants also served Continental dishes, along with traditional North American comfort food items.

All the restaurants are non-smoking and casual, but tank tops, swimwear, and flip flops are not allowed at any meals. Shorts are permitted at breakfast and lunch, but not at dinner.

Let's take a detailed look at the dining options and cuisine on the Louis Cristal.
