    Tipping

    Dateline: 1/3/01

Tipping policies have changed for some cruise lines the last few years.  What do you think?  Should cruise lines just increase their prices and do away with tipping altogether?  Alternatively, should cruise lines give a "suggested amount" to tip each day and let passengers "pass out" the tips at the end of the cruise?  Or, finally, should cruise lines just add a set amount to each bill each day (for example, $9 to $15 dollars per day) and then let passenger adjust the bill if they choose?  Which of these three do you prefer?  Or is there another alternative?
