The Viking Sun will be Viking River Cruises' newest and largest ship sailing the waterways of Europe. Currently under construction, the Viking Sun will be 131.8 meters long and carry 198 passengers in luxurious surroundings when complete. The Viking Sun should be ready to sail in February 2005. The engineer for the new ship, Bob van Beek, sent me this photo from the shipyard where the Viking Sun is under construction. Click on the photo to enlarge. This is a very long ship!
