Nagasaki, Japan - Cruise Ship Port of Call

Peace Park in Nagasaki was built near the epicenter of the August 9, 1945 atomic bomb blast. The park is small, but has marvelous statues scattered throughout the area, each donated by countries and cities from around the world. The atmosphere in the park is appropriately somber, even on a beautiful April day such as the one when we visited.
