Nagasaki, Japan - Cruise Ship Port of Call

The school groups visiting Peace Park have a peace ceremony where poems are read and songs are sung. Our guide told us that school children are brought to the park to stress the horror of atomic war and the desire to never have an atomic bomb dropped again. Each group always finishes their visit to the Peace Park with a song that remembers the atomic bomb victims' agony and stresses that we should do all we can to never allow a third atomic bomb. Even though the ceremony was in Japanese, it was quite moving for all of us.
