Our tour group (and a few dozen others) enter the Forbidden City. This massive complex covers more than 200 acres, and two dynasties ruled the Middle Kingdom for over 500 years from this site. The Forbidden City is officially known as Gugong Bowuguan - Old Palace Museum.
