Note:  American Hawaii Cruises filed for bankruptcy in 2001, and the S.S. Independence was sailed to California near San Francisco. The fate of this grand old ship is uncertain as of March 2002.

The SS Independence has 2 pools to help passengers soak up the Hawaiian tropical sun.
