Stockholm, Sweden to Atlanta
The About Cruises Guide and the About Fishing Guide Cruise Scandinavia on the Renaissance R6
Today was our last day in Europe. We left Stockholm at noon to fly non-stop to JFK Airport in New York. We were supposed to have a long layover (4-5 hours) in New York, but our flight was on time and we zipped through customs. I checked the departure schedule and Delta had an earlier flight to Atlanta. Luckily we got onto the flight, but after pushing back from the gate, the plane sat on the runway in New York for over an hour because of bad weather between New York and Atlanta. We still got home almost 2 hours earlier that we expected.
If you would like to follow the Garrisons on our 30th wedding anniversary cruise, check out the table below for links to each day's itinerary. You can also follow my postings to the About Cruises Forum. Click here for link to the About Cruises Forum postcards from the R6. Here are some links to the pictures I made and detailed articles from each port of call.

I hope you enjoyed your tour of the Baltic Capitals with us. Many thanks to Renaissance Cruises for a wonderful anniversary vacation experience. Less than a month after this cruise, the cruise community was saddened to hear that Renaissance had ceased operations. I was lucky enough to sail with the cruise line three times - the small ship Renaissance VII, the R3 and the R6. Renaissance may be gone, but our cruise memories will last forever.
