Sailing
from Port Canaveral on the Sovereign of the Seas First time cruise experience. I knew that Sovereign of the Seas was an older ship, and had read some bad reviews "after" I purchased the cruise, also read some good reviews, so gave it a shot. If this is an old ship and a horrible experience, as some reviews said, I can't wait to see what a great ship is like. My wife and I had a FANTASTIC time on this ship. Yes, for her age Sovereign has some rough edges, but overall the ship was in great shape. It was very clean, and very nice. The food was wonderful, the service outstanding and the ports were great. Coco Cay was fantastic, had a great day there. Nassau was good, a little dirty and rundown. Paradise Island is a must see, casino didn't seem to payout very well at Atlantis though. The ships casino was wonderful, paid out very well. The staff on the ship, from Wendell our room attendant to our main waiter, were absolutely great, never wanted for anything. I could
ramble on forever, but let me sum it up easily. Great first cruise, wonderful
relaxation, superb food and service, great mom and dad time (my wife and
myself), exceptional value. I will definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean again. Explore Cruises Must Reads
