Miami to the Bahamas and Great Stirrup Cay on the Norwegian Majesty

Since we live in the Ft. Lauderdale area, we drove to the Miami Port, paid $30. for parking and got on line to board the ship. Went smoothly, fairly quick moving line (have your ID ready), a picture or two snapped of us (for future viewing and possible purchase) and onto the ship!

Went straight to one of the luncheon buffets and ate some pizza. Nothing fancy. We went to our room on the 3rd floor. 2 beds and a Murphy bed for our daughter. Nice enough room with a square window. Long story short....buffets left a lot to be desired.....breakfast and dinner were very good...Beef Wellington was delicious. This was only our second cruise. The entertainment was good, but could have been better.

Sunday, we went on their private island, Great Stirrup Cay. BEWARE OF FLEA BITES! We arrived home Monday...My daughter and I were covered with what we believe were sand flea bites . . . at least that's what our doctors think and NCL finally told me may be the case. It has been a week since we arrived home and we are still covered with hundreds of bites and itchy!!! We are on antibiotics and antihistamines. Hopefully they will go away sometime soon.

I'll stay on the ship next time...imagine this, there was a guy buried neck deep in the sand for fun...I'd like to know if he is now covered in bites. PREPARE BEFORE YOU GO!
