While Amsterdam is the most famous city in the Netherlands, the rest of the country is full of interesting villages, old windmills, and vibrant flower gardens. We toured the Netherlands in April 2002 on the wonderful Viking River Cruises river cruise ship the Viking Europe. We navigated the canals and rivers of the picturesque small country and got a close-up look at the Netherlands from the comfort of our small ship.
