Barcelona is truly a brilliant city, and is one of the most popular ports of call in the Mediterranean. Many cruises embark, disembark, or just spend the day in Barcelona. These pictures show some of the amazing architecture and sights of Barcelona.

Barcelona - This magic fountain entertains everyone in Barcelona. Not as impressive as the dancing waters at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, but the setting in front of the National Palace is impressive by day or night.

Barcelona- View of Barcelona made from the Poble Espanol village.

Barcelona- Antoni Gaudi was an architect who certainly put his mark on Barcelona. His works give the city an exciting architectural look.

Barcelona- La Sacrada Familia is a cathedral that has been under construction since the 19th century. It probably has the most detailed carvings of any cathedral I have ever seen, and the inside is not even close to being complete.

Barcelona- Las Rambla is a gorgeous tree-lined avenue where vendors sell their wares, and visitors gawk and enjoy.

Barcelona- Parc Guell is another of Antoni Gaudi's works. This city park features fun for all ages. Mosaic animals, benches, and buildings are everywhere.

Barcelona- You can take this scenic cable car from the train station to the top of Montserrat, the holy mountain outside of Barcelona.

Barcelona- A view of the valley, the basilica, and the monastery at Montserrat, taken from the top of the mountain above.
