The cruising season to northern Europe, Scandinavia, and the Baltic states runs from mid-April into October, with the busiest (and most expensive) cruises in June, July, and August. Azamara Club Cruises
The Azamara Journey will sail a variety of 7 to 12-day cruises from Stockholm and Copenhagen in northern Europe in 2014. Most of the cruises sail to the Baltic, but one is to the British Isles.
The Celebrity Constellation will cruise to northern Europe roundtrip from Amsterdam with 12-day cruises, the Celebrity Eclipse will sail from Southampton roundtrip on 14-day cruises to the Baltic, and the Celebrity Infinity will sail to the Norwegian fjords and British Isles on a series of 10 to 14-day cruises from either Copenhagen or Harwich in 2014.
Costa Cruises has four ships with several different seven to twelve day itineraries in the Baltic and northern Europe in 2014--the Costa Fortuna, Costa Mediterranea, Costa neoRomantica, and Costa Luminosa.
Cruise and Maritime Voyages
Cruise and Maritime Voyages will send the Marco Polo and the Discovery to the British Isles, northern Europe, and the Baltic in the summer of 2014. The ships will sail from Tilbury, Harwich, Edinburgh, Kingston-upon-Hull, and Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 6 to 20-day voyages.
The Crystal Serenity repositions to Scandinavia and northern Europe for the summer in June 2014, with a variety of 7 to 14-day cruises, mostly between Copenhagen and Stockholm.
The Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth all feature cruises to northern Europe and the Baltic in 2014 on itineraries from Southampton, New York, or Hamburg.
Holland America Line
HAL sends four ships to northern Europe from May through early September in the summer of 2014. The Ryndam, Prinsendam, Rotterdam VI, and Eurodam will all be sailing in northern Europe and to the Baltic capitals.
Most of Hurtigruten's ships serve as both a cruise line and a ferry service for the towns and small villages along the fjords on the western coast of Norway. Hurtigruten operates these voyages year-round between Bergen and Kirkenes, so those who want to experience Norway during a season other than summer can choose one of these voyages. In addition to the coastal Norway cruises, the expedition ship MS Flam sails to Greenland from Copenhagen during the summer months.
The National Geographic Explorer will sail to Arctic Europe in the summer of 2014 on 8 to 16-day voyages from Reykjavik, Copenhagen, or Oslo. The ship also has one cruise of the British Isles from London to Bergen. In addition to the National Geographic Explorer, the Lord of the Glens will sail 7-day cruises of the British Isles round-trip from Inverness.
Italian line MSC Cruises sends the MSC Magnifica, Poesia, Orchestra, and Opera to northern Europe, the Baltic, and the British Isles in the summer. The four ships will be sailing a variety of 7-12 day itineraries from several different ports.
Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Cruise Line has one of its ships in northern Europe and the Baltic in 2014 sailing roundtrip from Copenhagen on 9-day cruises - the Norwegian Star.
Princess is sending the Emerald Princess to the Baltic in the summer of 2014. The Royal Princess and Ocean Princess will also feature Baltic and northern European itineraries, and the Ruby Princess will sail the British Isles from Southampton.
Royal Caribbean International
Royal Caribbean features the Legend of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, and the Brilliance of the Seas in northern Europe for 2014. They will sail from Harwich, Southampton, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo on a variety of itineraries.
The Seabourn Quest and Seabourn Legend will sail northern Europe in the summer of 2014 for Seabourn Cruises. The ships will sail a variety of itineraries ranging from 7 days to 33 days.
SeaDream Yacht Club
The small ship SeaDream I will sail the Baltic, northern Europe, and the Norwegian fjords on a series of 7 to 14-day cruises from Hamburg, Dover, Copenhagen, Bergen, or Stockholm.
The Silver Cloud and Silver Whisper will spend the summer in Scandinavia and Northern Europe on a variety of 7-16 day cruises in the Baltic area and around the North Sea in 2014. The exploration ship Silver Explorer will cruise the British Isles, north Atlantic, northern Europe, and the Arctic.
The Swan Hellenic Minerva will feature cruises sailing roundtrip from Portsmouth to Norway, northern Europe, and the Baltic in the summer of 2014.
Voyages of Discovery
Voyages of Discovery will have the MV Voyager sailing two northern Europe voyages from Portsmouth to the north Atlantic and Norway in the summer of 2014.
